3. What data we process
3.1 Technical data (server logs)
When you open the site, our hosting provider’s server automatically records technical data needed to run and secure the site: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, browser and operating system type, and the referring page. This data is used only for proper operation, abuse prevention and troubleshooting, and is not combined with other data.
3.2 Data you send us
If you contact us by email, phone or social media, we process the data you provide (name, email address, phone number, message content) to answer your enquiry, handle registrations for workshops, schools and other programmes, or for cooperation.
3.3 Event photos
Our news section includes photos from our events, workshops and competitions. Photos of minors are published with the consent of a parent or guardian. If you would like us to remove a photo of you or your child, let us know and we will remove it without delay.
4. Cookies and local storage
The site sets no third-party cookies. In your browser (localStorage) we only store your cookie choice so we do not ask you on every visit. This record contains no personal data, and you can delete it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser or via the Cookie settings button.
If we introduce visitor analytics in the future, it will be enabled only with your explicit consent, and this policy will be updated.
5. Legal basis
We process data in accordance with the personal data protection legislation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), on the basis of: our legitimate interest in the secure and proper operation of the site (technical data), steps taken at your request or the performance of a contract (enquiries and programme registrations), and your consent (e.g. publishing photos, any future analytics).
6. How long we keep data
- Server logs: as a rule up to 30 days, unless needed to investigate a security incident.
- Correspondence and registrations: as long as needed to handle the enquiry or for the duration of the programme, and no longer than statutory retention periods.
- Event photos: while they are part of a published news item or until you ask for removal.
7. Who has access to data
Only authorised NanoPoli Centre staff have access to the data. The site is hosted by Hostinger, which processes data only on our behalf and for the purpose of providing hosting. We do not sell or disclose data to third parties unless required by law.
8. External links and social media
The site contains links to other websites (e.g. Instagram, LinkedIn, partner institutions). When you follow such a link you leave our site, and that site’s privacy rules apply, for which we are not responsible.
9. Your rights
You have the right to request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, to object to processing, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Send your request to info@npcentar.org; we will respond within 30 days at the latest. If you believe your rights have been violated, you may contact the Personal Data Protection Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
10. Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and server access is protected. However, no transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send us sensitive data through unsecured channels.
